[Event] PlayStation Gamescom Press Conference overview

So CW-Games was at PlayStation's Press Conference at Gamescom 2012 in Cologne, Germany.
What did they exactly announce? What was good? What was bad? See it down here.
Sony has started by showing off their very very blue halls to the press. As soon as the conference started, Sony started off with the PS Vita. The first thing they revealed that evening was the Little BIG Planet + PS Vita (WiFi-only) pack. Good enough.

Next, Sony started to show off more details about PlayStation All Star Battle, which is set for release on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. This game supports Cross Buy, a way to buy on a PS3 or PS Vita and play on the opposite console, at no additional costs. This was probably the best announcement, IMO.

Ratchet & Clank was announced to be a Cross Buy game as well. Assassin's Creed III was announced for PS Vita and PlayStation 3, as well as Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified. CoD will come with a Vita (WiFi-only) bundle. To end the Vita discussion, they have announced Tearaway and Killzone Mercenary to come exclusively to the PS Vita.

The next bla was about Android. PlayStation Mobile enables PS Vita's and PlayStation-certified Android phones to buy one game and play cross platform, play with each other and even use the same saves. All you need is a PSN account. ASUS and Wikipad are announced to provide PlayStation Mobile support. PlayStation Mobile games can be either major games, or indie games.

PS3 was next on the list. Sony has then announced the PS3 Essentials, which will cost € 19,99 each and only available in Europe. A new DLC pack has been announced for Little BIG Planet 2, which allows the PS Vita to be used as a controller with an extra screen, á la Wii U.

Now we went over to PlayStation Plus. Red Dead Redemption was announced to be a PS Plus game only. 1 GB of Cloud Storage was announced for PS Plus, as well as a 25% off promotion for all new subscribers. While we're still talking, some Wonderbook games were announced. Well, the trailers were longer than the actual announcements, so let's skip this okay?

FIFA 13, a football game that never ends, is announced to be released on the 28th of September. Before a new subject started, Until Dawn was announced for PlayStation Move.

Now let's talk about Japan. There will be 2 more Japanese games on PSN. Both very unique concepts, and probably the favourite off most press. With Puppeteer being held as a surprise, they have first shown off Rain (working title). In this game, you're dead. Seriously, you're a ghost! But the setting was awesome. When that was over, Puppeteer was announced. You usually know that in all games, the camera follows the player? Well in this game, the player follows the camera! While the player is always at the same spot, the world is coming towards you. Back to the PS3. Beyond Two Souls and The Last of Us shown with more details. The last thing that was shown was the Call of Duty gameplay. Sony ended the show with lots of great food.......all FOR FREE!
