Beta Menu

The menu (Menu.carc) has images of an unused alpha menu similar to that of MKDD. See also: Menu.

Beta Title

The beta title screen (Title.carc) shows that it was going to be based on MKDD by showing the Mario Kart logo from said game. Also, the music sounds different. See also: E3 Title

Beta Courses

The beta courses: DK Jungle Mountain (DK Alps) Almost the same as DK Pass. In the Final this is Waluigi Pinball Beta. (donkey_course)

Luigi Cookie Pinball (Luigi Flipper) Almost the same as Waluigi Pinball Beta but has different textures, and a awesome area where you go under the course. (luigi_course)

GCN Mario Circuit (old_mario_gc) GCN Mario Circuit. It was almost complete, but it didn't contain the chain chomp and was replaced by GCN Mushroom Bridge or GCN Yoshi Circuit.

Testing Circle (test_circle)

Not to be confused with Test1 Course. This is a tiny circle with 1 lap and it was probably used for testing NKM and models.

Test1 Course (test1_course) It is almost a circle but it has a model of a similar Rainbow_Course model. It has a missing object and cannot be played.

Pipe Place (dokan_course) A course with sticky road and tunnels. Probably was used for KCL testing.

GCN Block City (mini_block_course) Almost complete but the blocks are not finished.

Debug Menu

Black screen that features like the Single Player menu in the Final. See also: Debug Menu.

Beta Items

Boo: Crashes when using cheats, but it has a different model to the Final Boo.

Chain Chomp: Seen in the item roulette, but not available thru gameplay. The music is used in mission 5-1 in the final, although it doesn't exist in the demo.

Bowser Shell: Probably supposed to act like the MKDD special item.

Purple Shell: Unknown what it does.
