How to get there
Use the Debug Menu code. Next, press right twice and press A, select a character with right/left and press A, select a kart with right/left and press A. Now it gets more tricky. If you want to play, press A. If you want to watch forever, press right and A. And now the tracks. In order:
- Block City
- Block Fort
- Pipe Plaza
- Nintendo DS
- Block City
- Block City
- Block City
Balloons
You can max. hold 3 Balloons at once.
Press Y to blow up a balloon. You can blow up 4 times an additional balloon.

Trivia
- CPU's are too dumb to use their items.
- Unlike in the final, you won't blink after getting hit by an item.
- All battle tracks use SEQ_CIRCUIT2 music.
- You won't get any other items than Green Shell, Banana, and Mushroom, although there are more in the item roulette.
- On the bottom screen, even the characters are knocked out, they still remain on their position.
- Pipe Plaza and the 4 Block Cities have no own bottom screen map.
